    is an accumulation of fluid (caused by e.g. pericarditis). Causes of pericarditis 
    are infections (viruses), uraemia, myocardial infarction, Dressler`s syndrome, 
    trauma and e.g. connective tissue disease (SLE). 
    Clinical features of pericardial effusion are right and left heart failure 
    - risk of cardiac tamponade.
